The Podiatry 2026 equipment exhibition gives UK clinic buyers a chance to compare devices, suppliers and support arrangements in person. The Royal College of Podiatry’s Annual Conference and Exhibition runs at the ICC Birmingham on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 November 2026. The member-only Learning Academy Immersive Day follows on Saturday 28 November.

Equipment-related exhibitors confirmed
The official list checked on 17 September includes suppliers and manufacturers relevant to clinic equipment, diagnostics, instruments and orthotics, including Algeos, Bailey Instruments, Canonbury Healthcare, Celtic SMR Healthcare, HEINE Optotechnik, Mediq UK, RUCK UK and Trycare.
This is a selected equipment-focused list, not a ranking or a complete exhibitor directory. The official list also includes orthotics, wound care, software, education and other clinical suppliers.
Prepare before the exhibition
Choose two or three purchasing questions for each equipment category rather than trying to compare every product on the day.
For a drill, record the handpiece weight, extraction or spray system, consumable costs, cleaning instructions, warranty and UK repair route. For a treatment chair, check the safe working load, movement, access around the foot section, controls, upholstery cleaning, footprint, delivery and servicing. For a diagnostic device, confirm the intended use, accessories, training, data handling and support.
Bring a short description of the clinic, the equipment already used and any physical or workflow constraints. Ask suppliers to send a written quotation after the event so prices, accessories and terms can be compared on the same basis.
Questions to ask every equipment supplier
- What is the exact model and intended purpose?
- What is included in the quoted configuration?
- Which accessories or consumables are needed for routine use?
- What training is included, and for whom?
- What cleaning and decontamination instructions apply?
- What warranty is supplied, and what is excluded?
- Who provides UK servicing and repairs?
- What is the expected turnaround if the device is unavailable?
- Which parts and consumables are user-replaceable?
- What is the full price including VAT, delivery, installation and training?
- Can the supplier provide the current instructions and regulatory documents?
- Is a written trade-in or demonstration-unit offer available?
Do not rely on an exhibition-only verbal promise. Record the representative’s name and request written confirmation of any discount, warranty extension, delivery date or included accessory.
Compare whole-life cost
The lowest event price may not be the lowest long-term cost. Record filters, dust bags, burs, sprays, batteries, upholstery repairs, calibration, servicing, software fees and shipping where applicable. Ask what happens after the warranty ends and which faults can be handled in the UK.
The MHRA’s medical-device guidance recommends considering the intended user, limitations, instructions, training, supplier help, servicing and whole-life costs during purchasing.
Product demonstrations
Use a demonstration to check controls, noise, reach, access, cleaning surfaces and the effort needed to move or position the equipment. A demonstration is not independent evidence of clinical performance, durability or reliability.
Ask for the model’s current instructions and specification sheet. If a product claim affects a purchasing decision, ask which document supports it and take time to verify the source after the event.
Buying at or after the event
Before paying a deposit, check the legal business name, quotation, cancellation terms, delivery estimate, warranty, returns position and any finance agreement. Confirm that the person approving the purchase has the authority to commit the clinic.
